The plain stretched out before them, sunlight glinting off every surface as the sun began to set, its orange rays retreating from the purple shadows of night. It was a beautiful sight, one that many people would never experience in their lives. One that photographers would capture, reminding people and themselves of the fleeting beauty of nature.
However, Balthazar didn't notice the glowing sunset. He was too busy looking at the pit of bears, a metre away from where he was standing.
"So explain to me again, why this is NOT retarded?"
Isaiah looked up from the tires of his motorbike and sighed.

Paris needs to keep his mouth shut because his stupidity isn't endearing. However I love him anyway because the rule of blood makes it so. If he wasn't my brother, I'd smack him and be done with it. He thinks I'm an uncaring jerk.

As if the life I've patched together,

"People think you sell your soul,
Trade modesty for rings.
Guess there's reasons in their heads,
For saying those kind of things.
Think superstars and actresses
Have taken the place of kings.
But only I know why the caged popstar sings.
The cage is the spotlight.
The lock is opening night.
But the music is the key.
I can fly as my voice soars-
That's what music means to me.
Gossip papers will never see
How much a remark stings.
And how trapped you feel with
Scheduled goings and comings.
And all I want is a chance,
To finally spread my wings.
Only I will ever know why the caged popstar sings.
The cage is the spotlight
